Divorce rates continue at about 50%. While the average divorce rate is 50%, it is 40% for first marriages, 60% for second marriages and 73% for third marriages.

The seven year itch continues. Couples separate on the average of seven years after marriage and divorce after eight.

The percentage of adults who are married has steadily decreased over the last three decades. In 1970, 68 percent of American adults were married. That figured dropped to 66 percent in 1980, 62 percent in 1990, and 60 percent in 2000.

Nancy just completed her fifth trip to Africa -- this time with Stanborough Press manager, Paul Hammond.
