Recently my cousin loaned me his copy of TO HAVE AND TO HOLD. I was deeply impressed. Over the past few months, my husband and I have grown lukewarm toward each other. The fire that was there three years ago was fading and I was scared. It happened when our daughter died when she was only two weeks old. He began to find fault with me and I felt miserable. Our daughter's death put me through terrible trauma and I begged him to understand my feelings. He could not understand how I felt because I could not shed tears. Needless to say, it hurt so much that tears wouldn't suffice. Since reading TO HAVE AND TO HOLD I plan to change my ways rather than trying to change him! L.L.
I am the coordinator of the Social Work Program
for a college and am responsible for curriculum development as well as
teaching. Recently I reviewed your book TO HAVE AND TO HOLD and found it
informative and enlightening. This book is an excellent resource for
marriage and would also be helpful in training students in counseling
clients with interpersonal and marital concerns. GM, MSW
